Functional Exercise Development Workshop
This 2-day workshop will provide participants with the skills necessary to develop a Functional Emergency Preparedness Exercise. The Functional Exercise is a simulated, interactive, emergency preparedness activity.
The participants will review and practice the steps in the exercise design process by developing and conducting a functional exercise.
At the conclusion of this workshop, the participants will have skills and knowledge in the responsibilities of the exercise design team, exercise controller role, simulation team and evaluation team, as well as having the ability to design and conduct a functional exercise in their community.
Pre-Course Requirements
Participants must have comprehensive skills in exercise development prior to attending this program. This will allow the participants to successfully understand the concept of functional exercise design and to complete this course.
